Michal Zamir, Rabbi-in-Residence
Rabba Michal Zamir is an Israeli rabbi, educator, facilitator, and ritual leader. She was ordained through Rabbanut Yisraelit, the Beit Midrash for Israeli Rabbis operated in partnership by the Shalom Hartman Institute and HaMidrasha at Oranim.
Before coming to Tulsa, Michal worked with individuals, groups, organizations, and communities throughout Israel, using practices of listening, Jewish learning, and spiritual reflection. Her experience includes community leadership, educational programming, and helping couples and families create meaningful Jewish lifecycle ceremonies.
At The Synagogue, Rabba Michal will contribute to teaching, ritual leadership, pastoral care, and the continued development of an open, creative, and deeply engaged Jewish community.
Rabba Michal is married to Maor Elkayam, the Jewish Federation of Tulsa’s Israel Emissary. They are the parents of Zohar, 14; Amiro, 12; and Netta Shalom, 4.
