Moral Clarity in an Age of Confusion - Session 1

  • Congregation B'nai Emunah 1719 South Owasso Avenue Tulsa, Oklahoma 74120 USA (map)

As we move from Passover to Yom HaShoah, join us for a four-part in-person reading group, Moral Clarity in an Age of Confusion, beginning Thursday, April 10, at noon. Through the writings of political philosopher Hannah Arendt and Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, we’ll explore how individuals and communities respond to moral crisis, resist apathy, and uphold conscience in dark times.

Each session will engage with short, powerful readings—beginning with Arendt’s essay “Personal Responsibility Under Dictatorship” and Chapter 4 of Sacks’s Morality, titled “Loneliness.”

We’ll meet on Thursdays at noon (April 10, 17, 24, and May 1); bring your lunch (vegetarian-only, please) and an open mind. Printouts will be provided or available by email upon registration.
