The Synagogue is excited to partner with Magic City Books in welcoming home, long-time Tulsan and congregation member, Barry Friedman, to celebrate the newest book in his series, Jack Sh*t 3: I’m the Father. The book series is a warm, wry memoir‐style reflection on the author’s father, Jack Friedman, as he winds down his years at the Tulsa Jewish retirement center (which Jack dubs “The Hebrew Home”). Blending humor, compassion, and the bittersweet reality of aging and memory loss, the book follows Jack’s antics and observations—from bagel-runs and quirky conversations, to deeper moments of confusion as dementia progresses.
