Film lovers are invited to join Blatt + Blue for a special in-person screening of Dust Bowls and Jewish Souls: Another Side of Woody Guthrie, at Circle Cinema. This new documentary that explores the relationship between the great Oklahoma folk singer/activist Woody Guthrie and the Jewish family he acquired by marriage. His mother-in-law, Yiddish poet Aliza Greenblatt, had a formative impact on both his art and his politics. Circle Cinema will be hosting a reception and live music by Jesse Aycock, starting at 6:00 pm. The film will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by a Q & A session with director, Steven Pressman.
