Our ongoing film and television series, Blatt + Blue, spotlights the discussion-leading skills of film and television enthusiasts David Blatt and Alice Blue. This month, they will lead an exchange about Asia, a 2021 prize-willing film about family conflict, immigration, sexuality, and the aspirations of those confronting the challenges of physical disabilities. Asia foregrounds the luminous acting skills of Shira Haas, last seen in Unorthodox, and the Synagogue’s own commitment to pluralism and inclusiveness.
