An Evening of Poetry

In this revealing and inviting conversation about reading poems, we’ll focus on what a poet is trying to do — at the DNA-level of words and metaphor. Those are the poet’s tools of the trade. Using poems by Yehuda Amichai and others, the goal of this class is to empower and entertain you as readers (and even writers) of poetry. This event is for everyone who reads poems—and anyone who wants to. Take an hour to refresh your love for poetry with your Synagogue family and David Bespiel, renowned author and grandson of Joe Borg. Before the event, read this poem by Yehuda Amichai if you’ve the time - it’ll serve as a launching point for the evening.
