B'nai Emunah Cooking School

The kitchen is always more fun when we fill it with good smells and good company. The B’nai Emunah Cooking School connects eager learners with talented teachers to explore various forms of culinary expression. From “basic chicken soup” to “Seder for 40” BECS workshops help animate your home cooking and make Jewish culinary tradition come alive. This is a place to expand your skills, get your hands messy, and let us take care of the dirty dishes.

What?

It's a two-hour cooking class. Taught by experienced chefs, each class will include instruction in kitchen skills, new recipes, and practical use. A flat materials fee covers your food supplies. Everyone takes home something yummy from class.

Who?

Anyone. We mean it. Whether you've been cooking your entire life or your greatest dish is "cereal+milk," we think you'll get something out of our workshops. We keep enrollment small to maximize individual attention. Think of us as "Bubbe's Kitchen" meets Cooks Illustrated.

When?

Each workshop is offered several days and times throughout the year. Take a look at each registration page to select the option that works best for your schedule.

Where?

All classes take place in the kitchens of Congregation B'nai Emunah. These strictly-kosher, commercial facilities are the perfect classroom environment for this type of workshop.

Anything Else?

All workshops adhere to the guidelines of kosher cooking. Equipment and supplies are provided. On occasion, specialty equipment is required (e.g. Instant Pot.) Anything we forgot to answer? Contact Rabbi Kaiman.
